"More than half of the waste in the grey bins doesn't belong there," explains Stéphanie Goergen, a researcher at the Environment Administration. The manual sorting process allows for a detailed analysis of the waste composition, identifying items that can be recovered and recycled. According to Rüdiger Philipps, Head of Service at Eneco, the company managing the facility, "We're analyzing waste from 15 municipalities to see what can be done better."
