Volkovysk's New Murals: A Breath of Fresh Air
Volkovysk Embraces Art: New Murals Brighten City Streets Volkovysk, Belarus, May 17, 2025 – Two new murals have recently transformed the cityscape of Volkovysk, adding splashes of color and artistic expression to the city's streets. The artwork, located on buildings along Pankova and Gorbatova streets, has quickly become a local attraction. The artist behind these vibrant creations is Pavel Ivanov of @shakola_art_bl. In an interview with @volkovysknews, Ivanov described his work, saying, "We work on building facades all across Belarus. This project in Volkovysk was particularly interesting, a bit complex, but we managed to complete it successfully." One mural depicts a pair of storks in flight against a bright blue sky, while the other features a stylized depiction of a woman in traditional Belarusian clothing standing in a field of wheat under a large sun. The murals are part of a broader city beautification initiative, aiming to enhance the visual appeal of Volkovysk and create a more welcoming environment for residents and visitors. The project is a testament to the power of art to revitalize public spaces and foster community pride. The vibrant colors and captivating imagery of the murals contribute to the city's aesthetic appeal, leaving a lasting positive impact on the community.
