Grodno Hosts First Regional Bloggers' Meet: A Blend of Social Media and History Grodno, Belarus – May 21, 2025 saw the launch of the first regional bloggers' meet, "GrodnoMediaJam." The event brought together established and aspiring bloggers, alongside representatives from regional and national media outlets. The event held special significance as participants made a poignant visit to Naumovichi, a site of historical tragedy. Among the attendees were representatives from Volkovysk district: Egor Giz, director of the district tourism information center; Aleksandra Degtyareva, a correspondent for the local newspaper "Nash Chas"; and Kristiana Stepeka, a young correspondent from School #8. "It's incredibly moving to be here," said Stepeka, reflecting on the visit to Naumovichi. "It's a reminder of the importance of remembering the past." The event successfully combined the vibrancy of the blogging community with a solemn reflection on Belarus's history, demonstrating the power of social media to connect people and preserve memory.
