Belgian Teacher Faces Eight Years for Sexually Abusing 11 Young Girls
A 25-year-old teacher from Belgium is facing an eight-year prison sentence for sexually abusing eleven young girls. The abuse took place during private swimming lessons and at children's camps, with his stepdaughter also among the victims. The case is currently being heard in the Dendermonde court. "It's about serious facts of extreme sexual misconduct against eleven identified minors," stated a representative from the prosecution. "These were young children, between the ages of four and ten." The man, who also worked as a teacher at a primary school in Ninove, was dismissed from his position. He is currently in pre-trial detention and has requested release, claiming eight months in jail is sufficient punishment. The parents of the victims have chosen not to comment publicly at this time. The trial highlights the importance of safeguarding children and the need for thorough background checks on those working with young people. The case underscores the devastating impact of such crimes on victims and their families.
