From Olympic Skier to X Games CEO: Jeremy Bloom's Inspiring Journey
From Olympic Slopes to X Games CEO: Jeremy Bloom's Unconventional Path to Success Jeremy Bloom's journey is far from ordinary. The former Olympic skier and NFL player now leads the X Games, a testament to his resilience and ambition. Bloom's story begins on the snowy slopes of the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, where, at just 19, he made his mark. "I was 19 years of age, throwing a mute grab 360 at the top jump," Bloom recalls. His athletic prowess continued onto the football field, but his path wasn't without obstacles. As a college freshman, he sued the NCAA for the right to pursue both skiing and football, a bold move that highlights his determination. "I sued the NCAA because they told me I couldn't continue my skiing career if I was going to play college football," he explains. Bloom's career took another turn when he was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, a particularly meaningful moment as his father hailed from Philadelphia. This success led to the creation of his non-profit, Wish of a Lifetime, granting wishes to elderly individuals. "We grant lifelong wishes to 80, 90 and 100-year-old people," Bloom shares. The video showcases a heartwarming image of Bloom fulfilling one of these wishes at Folsom Field in Boulder. Bloom's journey is a compelling narrative of ambition, perseverance, and giving back, making it a story worth sharing.
