Pentagon's Secret UFO Disinformation Campaign Revealed
The Pentagon's Secret History of UFO Disinformation Last year, the Defense Department released a report on decades of claims about a coverup of extraterrestrial life. The report dismissed these allegations as baseless. However, a Wall Street Journal investigation reveals a different story. The investigation found that the Pentagon itself sometimes deliberately spread disinformation about UFOs and aliens. The goal? To conceal highly classified programs. The investigation involved seven months of interviews with dozens of current and former U.S. government officials. Joel Schectman, a WSJ reporter, reviewed thousands of pages of declassified government texts, emails, text messages, and recordings. He discovered a pattern of intentional misinformation spread by U.S. military personnel over decades. "What I found was that over the decades, U.S. military personnel often spread intentional misinformation about UFOs and aliens in order to hide highly classified programs," Schectman explains in the video. The Pentagon's actions varied. Sometimes, they let myths fester due to a culture of secrecy. Other times, they actively spread stories as an inside joke or hazing ritual. This practice persisted for nearly 20 years. This revelation challenges the public's understanding of the government's role in the UFO narrative and raises concerns about transparency and accountability.
