Denver, Colorado - As the 4th of July approaches, Colorado residents can anticipate favorable weather conditions for their holiday celebrations. Chris Bianchi, a meteorologist with 9NEWS, shared an updated forecast indicating a trend towards drier weather for the Independence Day weekend. Bianchi explained that while earlier models suggested a stormier outlook, current computer forecasts show monsoon moisture moving in from the Gulf of California and the Pacific Ocean, leading to a generally drier pattern. "Overall good news for your forecast on Friday and Saturday," Bianchi stated, referring to July 4th and 5th. While an isolated storm or two cannot be entirely ruled out, particularly on Thursday, July 3rd, the meteorologist emphasized that the 4th of July itself is not expected to be a washout for either the Denver metropolitan area or the mountains. He advised those planning to camp on July 3rd to consider moving their plans to Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for potentially clearer skies. The forecast suggests that all three days of the long weekend should remain largely dry across the region.
