
Westchester County Parks Open Pools and Beaches for Summer Heatwave
Westchester County, NY – As temperatures rise, Westchester County Parks are providing much-needed relief with several pools and beaches now open for the summer season. Residents are encouraged to visit these facilities to cool off and enjoy the outdoors. Among the popular spots featured in recent updates are Playland Beach in Rye and Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle, offering refreshing dips in the Long Island Sound. For those preferring pools, Willson’s Waves in Mt. Vernon, Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains, and Sprain Ridge Pool in Yonkers are all welcoming visitors. Starting Friday, June 27, Playland Pool and The Brook at Tibbetts in Yonkers will also open daily, further expanding options for water activities. Croton Point Beach in Croton-on-Hudson is available on weekends and holidays. It is important to note that Westchester County residency rules apply at Glen Island Beach, Saxon Woods Pool, Sprain Ridge Pool, The Brook at Tibbetts, and Willson’s Waves.
