Makati's UltraFast EV Chargers: A Green Leap for Philippine Mobility
Makati City Unveils Fastest EV Charger in the Philippines Makati City is leading the way in electric vehicle infrastructure in the Philippines with the recent installation of new charging stations at the Corinthian Carpark in Legazpi Village. The station boasts nine charging slots, a significant upgrade for EV drivers. The most notable feature is a 480kW UltraFast charger, capable of fully charging compatible vehicles in a mere 10 to 15 minutes. This is the fastest charging technology currently available in the country. "These new stations represent a significant step forward in our commitment to sustainable transportation," said a representative from ACMobility, the Ayala Group company spearheading the initiative. "We are proud to make Makati the most electrified city in our network, and we are committed to expanding our reach across the Philippines." The charging stations are priced competitively at ₱35/kWh, with membership plans offering substantial discounts, making EV ownership more accessible. With a target of 22 charging locations by the end of 2025, Makati City is setting a strong example for other cities to follow in promoting sustainable mobility. The initiative is not only beneficial for EV drivers but also contributes to a cleaner environment, reducing carbon emissions in the city. This project demonstrates a commitment to a greener future for the Philippines.
