Pennsylvania Husband Arrested for Wife's Disappearance After Eight-Year Mystery
In a quiet Pennsylvania town, the disappearance of Anna Maciejewska in 2017 remained a chilling mystery for years. Her case, initially treated as a missing person's report, took a dramatic turn recently with the arrest of her husband, Allen Gould. Gould has been charged with first and third-degree murder, yet Anna's body has never been recovered. The investigation involved reviewing her work records, which showed she was a 'no-call, no-show' on the days leading up to her reported disappearance. This was unusual, according to her colleagues. "Given her personality, this was not normal," stated an unnamed coworker. Police found Anna's car two miles from their home, containing her belongings, but the car's computer showed it hadn't been started since April 10th. A search of Gould's home yielded a cell phone with text messages to Anna's father in Polish, sent on March 30th, using Google Translate. The police also found notes written by Gould about the investigation, labeled "Cover Story." These notes, coupled with Google searches about strangulation and defense attorneys, led to Gould's arrest. While Gould's defense attorney claims there is no solid evidence, the case is moving forward, leaving the community and Anna's loved ones hoping for closure.
