Kyiv, Ukraine – A nutrition expert associated with the WOWBODY app recently shared insights into common snack choices that may inadvertently impede weight loss efforts. In a widely viewed video, the expert highlighted three seemingly healthy options: cheese, nuts, and dried fruits. She explained that while these foods offer nutritional benefits, their high caloric density from fats and sugars can quickly lead to exceeding daily energy intake. For instance, she noted that just 100 grams of cheese can account for an entire day's fat allowance. Similarly, excessive consumption of nuts, which are rich in healthy fats, can also contribute to weight gain. Regarding dried fruits, she emphasized that while they retain sugar, they lose their water content, making it easier to consume large quantities of concentrated sugar. The expert advised mindful portion control for nuts and encouraged choosing fresh fruits over dried alternatives for better hydration and satiety.
