Беларусы рассказывают, как пытались продать или купить вещи на популярной онлайн-площадке, но столкнулись с хамством, обманом и странными сделками.
"Online Marketplace Woes: A Seller's Frustrating Tale on Kufar" MINSK, Belarus – A local online seller, known as Ksenia on social media, has shared a series of "trash stories" detailing her frustrating experiences on Kufar, a popular Belarusian online marketplace. Her accounts highlight common challenges faced by individuals attempting to sell or exchange goods online, ranging from persistent haggling to alleged theft. Ksenia described how she often lists items, such as books, at already reduced prices, only for potential buyers to demand further discounts. "I sell books cheaper than they are anywhere else, and they ask, 'Will you give it for 10 [rubles]?'" she recounted, expressing her disbelief at the perceived lack of respect for her pricing. She also detailed instances where buyers would agree to a meeting but then fail to show up or live in inconvenient locations, expecting her to travel long distances for a small transaction. "Why should I trek from one end of the world to the other to complete an equal transaction?" she questioned. The most alarming incident she shared involved a book exchange. Ksenia agreed to swap a new, shrink-wrapped book for another, even accepting an unknown edition out of a sense of goodwill towards a young, seemingly teenage buyer from Gomel. She promptly sent her book via EuroPochta, paying for the shipping herself. However, after two weeks, she had not received the promised book. Upon checking her track number, she discovered her book had been picked up. When she inquired, the buyer claimed a friend was supposed to send it. Despite repeated assurances, the book never arrived. Ksenia stated, "I will genuinely interpret this as theft, and it will be a reason to go to the police." She concluded her video with a plea to online marketplace users: "Stop acting like jerks."
