National Outcry: Cities Unite Against ICE in Wave of Protests
Cities Nationwide Protest ICE in Solidarity with Los Angeles Protests erupted across the United States on June 10, 2025, in a powerful display of solidarity with Los Angeles and in opposition to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Demonstrations took place in at least four cities: Aurora, Colorado; Providence, Rhode Island; Cleveland, Ohio; and Austin, Texas. The protests were marked by passionate chants and signs expressing outrage over ICE's actions and demanding an end to what protesters see as inhumane policies. In Aurora, Colorado, one protester, whose sign read "No one is illegal on stolen land," stated, "We're here to show ICE that we won't stand for their abuses of power. They're tearing families apart and violating human rights." In Austin, Texas, another protester, holding a sign that said "Families Belong Together," expressed similar sentiments. "We're here to fight for justice and dignity for all immigrants," she said. The protests, while diverse in location, shared a common thread of opposition to ICE policies and a call for greater protection of immigrant rights. The widespread nature of the demonstrations suggests a growing national movement against what many perceive as unjust and inhumane treatment of immigrants.
