Málaga's 'Veranea' Program Offers 2,000 Free Summer Activities for Young People Málaga, Spain – The Diputación de Málaga recently announced the second edition of its popular 'Veranea' program, offering a wide range of free summer activities for young people aged 18 to 35. The program, launched on June 9th, 2025, has doubled its capacity from the previous year, providing 2,000 free spots for participants. "One of the highlights of this edition is the 'El Gran Reto del Verano' competition," explained José Santaolalla, the Deputy of Education and Youth. "Young people from 15 municipalities will compete in tests of strategy and physical skill." The diverse activities include access to water parks, karting championships, aquatic activities, and even a visit to the Caminito del Rey. Registration for residents of municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants opens on June 16th, 2025, via the Juventud Málaga website (juventudmalaga.es). Those in larger municipalities can register starting June 20th. The 'Veranea' program aims to provide quality leisure options for young people and promote a healthy, active lifestyle.
