The terminal's design is noteworthy, featuring a wave-like ceiling inspired by the nearby Blue Mountains. The airport also boasts an advanced baggage system, capable of processing 2000 bags per hour. Adding to the excitement, Air New Zealand announced its commitment to operating Trans-Tasman flights from the airport starting in 2027.
