Sabah's 2025 Budget: A Major Investment in Youth Education
Sabah Prioritizes Education in 2025 Budget: RM127 Million for Scholarships and Student Aid The Sabah state government has announced a significant investment in education as part of its 2025 budget. RM127 million has been allocated to various scholarship and aid programs aimed at supporting students and fostering future leadership. This commitment reflects the government's focus on empowering Sabah's youth. The budget includes two new aid programs. One provides a one-time payment to students at higher education institutions (IPTs). Another offers support for school activities. "This is the first time we've introduced such comprehensive aid," stated Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Noor. The funding aims to assist 7,130 active students. Beyond the financial aid, the government is also implementing initiatives to reduce financial burdens for students, including subsidies to help them return home for holidays. This shows a holistic approach to student welfare and accessibility to education. The Sabah government's dedication to education is a positive step toward building a brighter future for Sabah's youth, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
