MACC Seizes RM12 Million in Assets from Highway Concessionaire in Corruption Probe. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – In a major development in the ongoing fight against corruption, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) announced the seizure of assets worth an estimated RM12 million from a Tan Sri, identified as a highway concessionaire. The operation, which involved the search of six luxury residences and a land plot, uncovered a trove of luxury items, including high-end jewelry, several luxury vehicles, and a large collection of alcoholic beverages. "This seizure is a direct result of our ongoing investigation into the alleged misappropriation of sukuk funds," stated an MACC spokesperson. The Tan Sri and his wife were also summoned for questioning. The MACC spokesperson added, "We anticipate interviewing 30 to 50 witnesses in the coming weeks to further our investigation." The investigation is ongoing, and further updates are expected.
