Malaysia Ensures Sufficient Livestock for Eid al-Adha 2025
Malaysia's Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) has confirmed that there will be sufficient livestock for the upcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations in 2025. According to a recent press release, the supply of cattle and buffalo will reach 38,804, while the number of goats and sheep will be 30,167. This exceeds the anticipated demand, ensuring that those wishing to participate in the religious observance will be able to do so. In addition to the ample supply, the government has made preparations to ensure a smooth slaughtering process. Twenty-seven government-run abattoirs are ready, and they are supported by forty licensed private abattoirs. Individuals who plan to perform the sacrifice outside these facilities are required to obtain the necessary permits. "The supply of livestock is sufficient to meet the demand," stated a spokesperson for KPKM. The ministry encourages everyone to adhere to the provided guidelines for a well-organized and safe Eid al-Adha.
