This substantial number is expected to meet the nationwide demand. The MAFS reports a total of 38,804 cattle and buffalo, along with 31,167 goats and sheep. This includes both locally raised animals and imported livestock. "We have ensured sufficient supply to meet the needs of the entire country," stated a MAFS representative in a recent press briefing.
