Malaysian Actor and Singer Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault

Petaling Jaya, Selangor – June 4, 2025. A well-known Malaysian actor and singer was arrested on Tuesday, June 3rd, in connection with allegations of sexual assault against a 17-year-old girl. The incident allegedly occurred at a hotel in Petaling Jaya. According to a statement released by Petaling Jaya District Police Chief ACP Shahrulizam Jaafar, the victim had known the artist for three months, having met him at a cafe where she worked. The arrest followed a report filed by the victim's mother on Monday. ACP Shahrulizam stated, "The suspect was detained to assist in the investigation before being released on bail." The investigation is ongoing under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offenses Against Children Act 2017. The police are appealing for anyone with information to contact the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters.
