Datuk Seri Arrested for Assaulting Woman in Penang Georgetown, Penang – A 41-year-old Datuk Seri is in custody following his arrest for allegedly assaulting a 28-year-old woman with a pistol grip. The incident took place on Monday, June 2, 2025, around 10:20 PM on Jalan Kelawei. The victim sustained severe injuries to her nose and eye. "The suspect used the pistol grip to strike the victim during a heated argument," said a police spokesperson. The suspect surrendered peacefully on Tuesday morning at the Timur Laut District Police headquarters. Police seized a pistol, a firearm license, and ammunition from the suspect. He is currently being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt and Section 34 of the Firearms Act 1960 for illegal possession of a firearm.
