Bali Shooting: Australian Man Killed, Another Injured in Gangland-Style Hit
A double shooting in Canggu, Bali has left one Australian man dead and another injured. The incident, which occurred at a villa in the early hours of June 15th, is being investigated by Balinese police as a possible gangland hit. Thirty-four-year-old Zivan Radmanovic was shot dead in the bathroom of the villa in front of his wife, while 32-year-old Sanar Ghanim was shot in the buttocks and shin. Ghanim is reportedly the son-in-law of slain Melbourne underworld figure Carl Williams. Police found 17 bullet casings and 55 bullet fragments at the scene. The two gunmen fled on motorcycles. "The pools of blood have been cleaned, but the bullet holes remain," said 7NEWS Asia Editor James Carmody, who reported from the scene. The proximity of the villa to the busy tourist area of Canggu has raised concerns about the safety of holidaymakers. The investigation is ongoing, with police searching for the two suspects.
