BRIGHTON, MELBOURNE – An unusual but effective method of deterring crime was captured on security cameras in Brighton, Melbourne, as a homeowner successfully scared off two would-be thieves by barking like a dog. The incident, which occurred recently, shows two individuals attempting to approach a residential property. In a surprising turn of events, the homeowner emerged and began to loudly mimic a dog's bark, followed by vocal threats. The unexpected tactic proved highly effective, as the footage clearly shows the two intruders quickly abandoning their attempt and fleeing the scene. Brad Battin, the Opposition Leader, commented on the homeowner's actions, stating, "This guy's obviously got the genuine fear and tried to find any way to get them out of the house without having confrontation. If it works, it works, and it keeps his family safe, then good on him." The quick thinking of the resident prevented a potential home invasion and highlights a unique approach to personal and property security.
