At a Walgreens in Texas, a dispute began after a 91-year-old woman and her daughter allegedly made racist remarks toward other customers.
A tense confrontation unfolded recently at a Walgreens pharmacy in Willowbrook, Texas, involving a customer waiting for a flu shot and an elderly woman accompanied by her daughter. The incident, captured on video, reportedly began when the 91-year-old woman demanded that others in the waiting area vacate their seats for her and her daughter. According to the video's author, who wished to remain anonymous, the situation escalated dramatically. "While I was sitting waiting, it was a lady sitting down on my left side and on my right side it was a child with special needs and across from him it was his big sister," the author recounted. The elderly woman then allegedly stated, "ONE OF YALL NEED TO GET UP AND MOVE BC IM 91 N I NEED TO SIT." The author stated they were already preparing to move, but the situation took a turn for the worse when the elderly woman's daughter reportedly interjected. "NOW SOMEONE ELSE NEED TO GET UP SO MY DAUGHTER CAN HAVE A SIT," the elderly woman demanded. When another customer offered their seat, the daughter allegedly responded with a "stink look" and then, according to the author, told the little girl and boy, "THEY NEED TO GO BACK TO THEIR FUCKING COUNTRY WE DONT WANT THEM HERE," before making a similar comment about the author. The video then shows a verbal exchange where the author challenges the woman's behavior, stating, "You don't speak to people like that." The woman, in turn, accused the author of rolling their eyeballs, which the author denied. The incident has sparked discussion online regarding public etiquette and racial intolerance.
