Budapest, Hungary – The Papp László Sportaréna recently hosted a significant political gathering where the popular patriotic song "Nélküled" (Without You) by the band Ismerős Arcok resonated through the crowd. The event, identified by its organizers as a Fidesz rally, saw Attila Nyerges, the band's lead singer, take the stage to perform the anthem, which has become a symbol of national unity for many Hungarians. During a discussion with the event's host, Nyerges articulated the profound impact of "Nélküled," emphasizing its message of love, acceptance, and solidarity among Hungarians across the Carpathian Basin. He noted that despite some attempts to politicize or criticize the song, its core message remains one of togetherness. "This song is exclusively about love, acceptance, and belonging," Nyerges stated, adding that he consistently hears its "roar" wherever he travels within Hungary and beyond its borders. The audience, visibly moved, waved Hungarian flags and sang along, reflecting the song's deep connection with their national identity. The event was broadcast live by Hír TV, bringing the atmosphere of the rally to a wider audience.
