Botrányos hibát vétett az orvos, csoda, hogy túlélte a beteg

London, UK – Amy Pohl, a content creator, has shared a harrowing account of her medical ordeal, which began with a seemingly ordinary illness and culminated in a life-altering chronic pain condition. Pohl, who was a primary school teacher at the time, frequently fell ill due to her then-undiagnosed Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Her condition took a critical turn when a severe allergic reaction to lidocaine during a medical procedure caused her throat to swell, leading to oxygen deprivation and unconsciousness. A subsequent attempt by a doctor to insert a cannula reportedly involved the reuse of a single needle, resulting in a severe infection in her hand. This infection necessitated surgery to drain the affected area. Following the surgery, Pohl developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), a chronic and debilitating pain condition, attributed to nerve damage during the medical interventions. She describes the pain as excruciating, leading to involuntary movements and a feeling of disconnect from her own limb. While a recent surgery has offered some improvement, her hand remains permanently affected. Pohl's story underscores the critical importance of medical diligence and raises awareness about complex chronic illnesses.
