The maintenance began with an engine interior cleaning. Gaitan explained that with time, especially in vehicles equipped with anti-pollution systems like EGRs, carbon buildup can occur, creating a sticky residue that clogs components. A specialized product was added to the hot engine oil to dissolve these deposits. "This product cleans the engine's interior," Gaitan stated, highlighting a visual example of severe carbon buildup. After draining the old oil, now mixed with the cleaning solution, fresh oil was introduced, accompanied by an anti-friction treatment. Gaitan explained that this treatment creates a protective film of boron carbide, reducing friction between metal parts. "This protective film helps the engine last much longer," he noted, adding that reduced friction leads to lower fuel consumption and operating temperatures. The video then shifted to cabin air quality, with Gaitan demonstrating the replacement of the cabin air filter. He showed a heavily soiled filter, explaining that it collects leaves, pollen, and other external debris, especially for vehicles driven off-road. He stressed the importance of replacing this filter regularly to ensure clean air inside the vehicle. Finally, Gaitan introduced a new product designed to clean the air conditioning system. He explained that condensation from the air conditioning unit can lead to stagnant water in the drainage tubes. If these tubes become clogged, the stagnant water can promote the growth of fungi and bacteria, causing unpleasant odors. The new product, when activated inside the car with the air conditioning on recirculation, circulates throughout the system, eliminating these contaminants and refreshing the cabin air. "This product kills everything in the circuit," Gaitan affirmed, promising an end to bad odors. This comprehensive approach to car maintenance aims to keep vehicles running smoothly and provide a healthier environment for occupants.
