Aussie drivers 'mind blown' over hidden feature 'almost every car has'
Young Queensland mum Sammy Rumbold, came across the surprising car discovery watching another video - but didn't believe it it was true.
A recent viral video has shed light on a surprising feature in many modern vehicles: automatic headlight washers. Samantha J., an Australian content creator, demonstrated this hidden function on her Nissan Patrol, revealing a system designed to keep headlights clean for optimal visibility. Inspired by a TikTok she viewed, Samantha decided to test the claim that all cars possess an automatic headlight wash. To activate the feature, she turned on her car's headlights, engaged the high beams, and then pulled the headlight stalk for three seconds. To her visible astonishment, jets of water sprayed from the front of her vehicle, cleaning the headlights. While not all vehicles are equipped with this feature, it is commonly found in cars with high-intensity discharge (HID) or LED headlights, particularly in regions where road grime and salt can quickly obscure lighting. This feature aims to maintain light output and ensure safety, especially during adverse weather conditions. The video has garnered significant attention, surprising many viewers who were unaware of this practical automotive innovation.
