First, a drug trafficking syndicate operating in Johor Bahru was dismantled, with over RM12 million worth of drugs confiscated. Police Chief Datuk M. Kumar stated, "The syndicate, active since January, used WeChat to facilitate drug transactions, storing their illicit goods in a guarded house." Seven individuals, five local men and two foreign women, were arrested. Various types of drugs, including syabu and ketamine, were seized. Authorities also confiscated five vehicles and other assets. Separately, in Kulai, a 45-year-old man, K. Murugan, pleaded guilty to armed robbery using a parang, injuring a woman. He will be sentenced tomorrow. These incidents highlight the ongoing efforts to combat crime and drug trafficking in Johor. The speed of the arrests and the significant seizures demonstrate the effectiveness of law enforcement.
