Tragedy Strikes North-South Expressway: Three Students Killed in Fatal Accident A fatal accident involving three students from the IKBN Jitra institute occurred on June 6th, 2025, at kilometer 49.4 of the North-South Expressway in Jitra, Kedah, Malaysia. The accident involved an MPV that was reportedly stopped in an emergency lane. According to Kota Setar District Police Chief ACP Siti Nor Salwati Saad, "The 46-year-old driver is still being held and will be released on police bail after giving his statement." The three deceased students were identified as Muhammad Fahmi Bin Jamel, Muhammad Afif Afan Derani, and Muhammad Adib Aimran Muhammad Hassan. Their funerals were held in their respective hometowns following post-mortem examinations at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital. One surviving student, Muhammad Adib Aimran, remains hospitalized at the HSB's yellow zone due to leg injuries.
