EPCOT's new adults-only Spaceship Earth lounge is superb, but is GEO-82's divisive onion martini as bad as some say? We tried to find out.
Orlando, FL – Epcot at Walt Disney World has introduced its latest adult-exclusive offering, GEO-82, a new lounge themed around the iconic Spaceship Earth. Opened in June, this 21-and-up venue promises a sophisticated atmosphere, complete with themed decor, unique cocktails, and a prime viewing spot for the park's nightly fireworks display. According to a recent review by content creator Bethany Vinton, GEO-82 offers a distinctive experience for Disney enthusiasts. "This is an adult-only lounge themed all things Spaceship Earth," Vinton stated in her video, detailing the ambiance, which extends from the decor to the light fixtures designed to resemble fireworks. The lounge's menu features a range of premium beverages and small plates. Vinton highlighted the "Brown Buttered Old Fashioned" and a clarified whiskey sour as standout cocktails, alongside a recommended funghi flatbread and charcuterie board. While cocktails are priced around $25 and up, Vinton noted the availability of more affordable off-menu options, such as a $16 dirty martini with house-stuffed blue cheese olives. Securing a reservation for GEO-82 is reportedly challenging due to its exclusivity. Vinton advised using dining reservation services like the "Stakeout" app to receive alerts when tables become available. She also suggested booking the latest possible reservation to fully enjoy the fireworks view, even without the dedicated, pricier fireworks dining package. "When I was there, there was only six tables dedicated to the fireworks party and everybody else there was on a normal reservation but had pretty much the same view," Vinton explained. The lounge has garnered attention for its elevated experience, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling park environment. For adult visitors seeking a unique and refined dining and viewing experience at Epcot, GEO-82 aims to deliver a memorable visit.
