Bolivia to Receive 80 Million Liters of Fuel, Avert Potential Shortages
Bolivia Averts Fuel Crisis: 80 Million Liters to Arrive by June 8 Bolivia is set to receive a substantial influx of fuel to alleviate potential supply shortages. YPFB, the state-owned oil company, announced at a press conference in Santa Cruz on May 30th that 80 million liters of fuel will enter the country between June 2nd and 8th. This includes 48 million liters of diesel and 31 million liters of gasoline, arriving via 2,413 tankers. The announcement comes as a relief to Bolivians, who have faced previous fuel supply concerns. Gabriela Delgadillo, YPFB's manager of Industrialized Products, stated, "Del 2 al 8 de junio, ingresarán al país 2.413 cisternas con 48 millones de litros diésel y 31 millones de litros gasolina." (Between June 2 and 8, 2,413 tankers with 48 million liters of diesel and 31 million liters of gasoline will enter the country.) The fuel will arrive via several routes. 40 million liters of diesel are already being unloaded in the port of Mollendo, Peru. Further shipments of 75 million liters of gasoline and 97 million liters of diesel are expected from Arica, Chile, once weather conditions improve. Additional fuel will arrive via land transport from neighboring countries, including Argentina and Paraguay. This comprehensive supply plan demonstrates Bolivia's proactive approach to securing its fuel needs, ensuring stability for its citizens and economy.
