Serbian Assembly President Ana Brnabic Engages Public on TikTok, Addresses Key Social and National Issues

Belgrade, Serbia - Ana Brnabic, President of the National Assembly of Serbia, recently utilized the social media platform TikTok to engage directly with citizens, addressing a range of questions from national identity to social welfare policies. In a video uploaded on August 30, 2025, Brnabic responded to user inquiries in a Q&A format. (Hello Ana, I am your big fan and SNS member, I just want to tell you WE WON'T GIVE SERBIA, right?), prompted a firm response from Brnabic. She affirmed, "Tako je! (That's right! We won't give Serbia, we will never give it). Another significant question concerned the potential adoption of a caregiver law for parents. A user asked, "Poštovana gospodo Ana. (Dear Ms. Ana. Is there a possibility to adopt a caregiver parent law? Because it would mean a lot to us parents of such children if it came into force soon, and the voice of children with disabilities can only be heard if we, as their parents, speak for them.) Brnabic acknowledged the importance of the question, stating, "Super je pitanje... i zamolila sam već Vladu Republike Srbije i Ministarstvo finansija da pogleda predlog zakona i da nam da svoje, odnosno njihove komentare." (It's a great question... and I have already asked the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Finance to review the draft law and provide us, or rather them, with their comments). The President also addressed inquiries regarding financial assistance for mothers with three or more children, particularly those unable to work. (We receive this question often, and I know President Aleksandar Vučić receives it too, and members of the Government... We will consult and keep it in mind, but we will do our best!). The Q&A session offered a glimpse into the public's concerns and Brnabic's approach to direct communication on social media.
