Los bañistas fueron sorprendidos por el animal en la Playa de Las Vistas el pasado viernes
Tenerife, Spain – A lifeless female mako shark (Isurus oxyrinchus), a species known for its incredible speed and ability to traverse oceans, was discovered on a beach in Tenerife. The presence of the shark on the shore had already indicated a serious health issue, and despite attempts by concerned individuals to guide it back to sea, the animal did not survive. Marine biologist CarlaOceans, who documented the discovery, examined the shark's body for clues regarding its demise. "We found no external signs of injury," stated CarlaOceans, making the exact cause of death difficult to ascertain. The lack of visible trauma suggests potential internal problems, such as disease, the ingestion of plastics, or other damage not apparent to the naked eye. The sight of the imposing creature, rigid and still on the seabed, deeply affected the biologist. "It was incredibly sad to see the lifeless body of such a powerful animal," she remarked. The incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by marine life and underscores the importance of further research into the health of ocean ecosystems.
