Buenos Aires, Argentina – Argentine singer Cazzu has publicly addressed the ongoing legal battle with her ex-partner, Christian Nodal, regarding travel permissions for their daughter, Inti. In a recent interview for "Se Regalan Dudas," Cazzu detailed a distressing mediation session where Nodal's lawyers reportedly asserted his right to revoke travel permission at any time, a move she described as a "power of control." Cazzu expressed profound emotional distress over the situation, stating, "I haven't felt so bad again in a long time as I felt that day. I had that horrible feeling of saying the world is devastating." She recounted asking for a travel permit for her daughter, a necessity given her career, only to be met with the lawyer's statement that Nodal could "revoke it whenever he wanted." The singer highlighted the broader implications of her personal struggle, drawing parallels to countless single mothers who lack the resources to fight similar legal battles. "I have the privilege of not having to go to court because I can take care of my daughter, because I can go knock on a judge's door," she stated, contrasting her situation with those who cannot afford legal representation. She added, "There, I am a number, but I am a number that does have money to support her daughter. All those lists of women and single mothers who cannot pay for litigation, who cannot pay for a lawyer, who cannot support their children... and when they go to work and their children are left alone, they don't know." Cazzu described the lawyer's words as a direct assertion of power over her and her daughter, calling it "one of the worst moments of my life." She emphasized that her fight is not just for herself but for all women facing similar systemic challenges, stating, "I choose not to fight this battle. I surrender before trying for my dreams, because I want to put all my energy into my career, all my energy into what I do." She concluded by reflecting on the "monster of misogyny and patriarchy" and the importance of a child's life.
