Belgrade, Serbia - A unique cultural exploration has revealed that several streets in the Serbian capital are named after the legendary actors from the iconic film "Marathoners Run a Lap of Honor." A recent report by CITY MAGAZINE highlighted this fascinating tribute, guiding viewers through various suburban districts to showcase these commemorative street names. The journey began in the Altina neighborhood, where a street bears the name of Pavle Vujisić, known for his role in the film. The report noted that this street, resembling a main thoroughfare, offered little beyond betting shops and eateries, though a parked speedboat was observed, humorously linked to Vujisić's known fondness for rivers. Further exploration revealed that a street named after Mija Aleksić intersects with Vujisić's street, described as a smaller, more tranquil residential area known for basketball and well-maintained homes. Moving towards Surčin, another street was found honoring Danilo Bata Stojković. This area, initially appearing unassuming, transitioned into a peaceful residential zone with pleasant suburban houses. The tranquility was reportedly interrupted by guard dogs, prompting the reporter to continue his journey. Finally, in the newer settlement of Mirijevo 4, a street was discovered named after Milivoje Mića Tomić. This street, described as the newest and smallest, featured an overgrown tennis court and seemingly incomplete new constructions. The report also mentioned streets named after Bora Todorović and Zoran Radmilović, other prominent actors from the film, noting that Radoslav Lazarević, who played Pantelija, did not leave a significant mark in acting, while Bogdan Diklić is still active.
