Real Housewives Star Sues Bravo for $20 Million Over Defamation
Brittish Eady, star of Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta, filed a $20 million lawsuit against the network, its parent company NBCUniversal, and production company Truly Original. The suit alleges defamation and the creation of a hostile work environment after an episode aired what Eady claims were falsely implied to be explicit photos of her. "Bravo knowingly contributed to a hostile work environment and sexually harassed her," the lawsuit states. Eady also took to social media to confirm she was not the woman in the photos and that she skipped the reunion show. Bravo has yet to respond to requests for comment. The case raises questions about the responsibilities of reality TV networks in protecting their cast members and the potential for legal repercussions when potentially defamatory content is aired.
