Vrgorac Celebrates Eighth Annual Dalmatian Prosciutto and Wine Days with Growing Success

Vrgorac, Croatia – The city of Vrgorac recently hosted its eighth annual 'Days of Dalmatian Prosciutto and Wine,' drawing a significant crowd and receiving enthusiastic feedback from attendees and participants. The event, which showcases the region's culinary traditions, was described by many as having a "brilliant atmosphere." One attendee, a wine producer from Herzegovina, noted this was his third year participating, emphasizing the good party, prosciutto, wine, and the friendly people from Dalmatia and Herzegovina. A prosciutto vendor, when asked about the preparation, stated it requires "years of experience and nothing else," highlighting the skill involved in slicing the delicacy. The Mayor of Vrgorac, Mile Herceg, confirmed the event's success, noting its consistent growth since its inception eight years ago. He expressed plans to expand the festival further into the city's streets and squares for its upcoming tenth anniversary, aiming for an even more spectacular celebration. This year's event featured approximately 50 exhibitors, offering a diverse range of products.
