UK Think Tanks Launch Program to Boost Diversity in Policy Sector

The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) and Demos, two prominent UK think tanks, have launched a joint initiative to boost diversity in the policy sector. The "Policy Futures Programme" offers a fully-paid, 12-month role to recent graduates or those with equivalent experience from underrepresented socioeconomic backgrounds. The program provides comprehensive training and a £30,000 salary. A spokesperson for the program stated, "The people and organisations who shape policy in Britain should be representative of the country we live in today." This initiative aims to address the underrepresentation of working-class individuals and ethnic minorities in policy and politics, providing a valuable opportunity for career development. Applications are open now.
