BROOKLYN, NY – A recent incident at a Popeyes restaurant on Clarkson Avenue in Brooklyn has sparked a heated debate over customer service and hygiene standards. A customer, identified as Deshia Lovely, recorded a confrontation with staff, alleging that the dining area was filthy and her food unsatisfactory. The video, uploaded on September 11, 2025, shows Ms. Lovely confronting a male employee, stating, "I'm not sitting in this fucking nasty shit and eat my thing and y'all treating customers like that." She further claimed, "It's dirty in here! It's fucking dirty in here!" and insisted she had to clean the table herself. The employee, who Ms. Lovely identified as a manager, countered her demands for a refund, explaining, "You already ate it, ma'am. As long as you ate it, we cannot give you a refund." He also stated that he could not sweep or mop while customers were eating. The dispute escalated with Ms. Lovely accusing the staff of racism and threatening to 'turn this bitch up' if her money was not returned. The incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding cleanliness and customer interactions within the fast-food industry.
