An Atlanta man shared a TikTok claiming he found hair in his meal after ordering at Dairy Queen and was initially refused a refund.
A recent incident at a local Dairy Queen outlet has sparked debate after a customer, Amir J, posted a video detailing his dissatisfaction with the service. The video, uploaded on September 10, 2025, shows Amir J confronting a manager after allegedly discovering hair in his food. According to Amir J, he found hair in his meal and sought a full refund. "I found some hair in my food and the manager is mad at me for wanting a refund instead of wanting them to remake my food," he stated in the video's voiceover. He argued that the appropriate response would have been to offer a full refund or complimentary food, rather than attempting to charge him for a portion of the meal, such as a drink. "You're trying to charge me for like the drink, when I could have left out here without checking my food and there was hair in it," he said. The video shows the manager, an older gentleman wearing a headset and a cap, behind the counter. While the manager's direct words are not clearly audible, his actions suggest a reluctance to comply with the customer's demand for a full refund initially. Amir J continued to press his case, asserting, "You could have been better than that. You could have gave me some free food." The situation culminated with the manager eventually handing over cash to Amir J, who then counted the money. Amir J concluded the video by urging viewers to "make sure you check your food because it was hair in it." The incident highlights customer service challenges in the fast-food industry and the expectations consumers have regarding food quality and complaint resolution.
