Victoria, Texas – The city of Victoria is buzzing with anticipation as Tejas Fest is set to return to its downtown area on October 3rd and 4th. This annual community celebration, offering free admission, promises a vibrant array of activities and musical performances designed to highlight the spirit of “True to Tejas.”The festival kicks off on Friday, October 3rd, with events commencing at 5:30 p.m. The evening will be dedicated to Tejano music, featuring a performance by headliner Michael Salgado at the De Leon Plaza performance pavilion. Saturday, October 4th, will see festivities begin at 10 a.m., with country music taking center stage. Pecos & The Rooftops are slated to headline Saturday's musical lineup.Beyond the main stage, the festival will host a variety of attractions. Mother Cluckers Downtown will manage a vendor market, complemented by 15 food vendors offering diverse culinary options. Family-friendly entertainment includes Chihuahua racing, a tamale eating competition, a car show, and a cornhole tournament. The Kids’ Corral, presented by East Point Energy, will feature over a dozen activities, including a petting zoo. Attendees can also enjoy Lucha Libre matches, a free photo booth, demonstrations by trick roper Kevin Fitzpatrick, and roving performances by Mariachi Tapatio.Organizers expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event, emphasizing its role in bringing the community together for a weekend of celebration and entertainment.
