Los Angeles, California - The highly anticipated Chapín Festival in Los Angeles is set to take place on October 11 and 12 at Lafayette Park, according to organizers. This year's event promises a vibrant celebration of Guatemalan culture, featuring an impressive lineup that includes iconic music group Alux Nahual and renowned boxer Lester Martinez. Additional artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The festival, organized by Chapín Summer Festival, aims to serve as a significant platform for the Guatemalan diaspora in the United States to reconnect with their roots and promote their rich cultural heritage. Entry to the event will be free for all attendees, with activities scheduled from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on both days. Originally slated for August, the festival's dates were rescheduled to October. Organizers stated that the decision to postpone was made due to security concerns regarding migratory operations in the area. This measure was taken to ensure the safety and well-being of all sponsors, collaborators, staff, and attendees, while maintaining the festive essence of the cultural gathering.
