Urgent Food Recalls and Health Alerts Issued Nationwide
Several food products have been recalled nationwide due to undeclared allergens and contamination. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) have issued alerts regarding Springville Meat Jerky, which contains undeclared anchovies, and Sulu Organics pork lard and beef tallow, which lacked USDA inspection. Additionally, Casa Mamita Churro Bites have been recalled due to undeclared milk, and Williams Farms Tomatoes have been elevated to a Class I recall due to Salmonella contamination. A public health warning was also issued for Croquetas La Mary ham croquettes due to undeclared soy and sesame. Organic Rancher Ground Beef, sold at Whole Foods, is also under a public health alert due to E. coli contamination. "The allergy risk is real," warns Dr. Kunal Sood, a board-certified physician who regularly reports on food safety issues. Consumers are urged to check their freezers and dispose of any affected products.
