MINSK, Belarus – A recent video posted by user Elena Sienkiewicz has brought to light alleged quality issues with a 'Richmond' sofa manufactured by Belarusian company Pinskdrev. The sofa, reportedly purchased nine months ago for 6,000 thousand rubles, is depicted showing significant signs of wear and structural defects. In the video, Sienkiewicz states, "This is nine months of using the sofa." She points out considerable sagging in the sleeping section, noting, "Here is the sleeping area, although the torso doesn't even lie here, only legs." Further, she demonstrates a failure in the pull-out mechanism, where a strap designed to extend the sofa has ripped from its staples. "I pulled it out just a couple of times, and this strap, which pulls it out, tore off," she explains. Additionally, a wooden board within the sofa's frame is shown to have come apart.Sienkiewicz expresses her dismay over the situation, questioning, "How can such things be sold for such money with such quality?" She confirmed that she has contacted the store where the sofa was purchased, and they have reportedly promised a replacement. "They promised to replace it for me," she said, adding, "So, we will wait for their response." The video serves as a public complaint, urging attention to the product's durability and the manufacturer's quality control.
