Santo Domingo Este Launches Free Community Health Initiative
Santo Domingo Este Mayor Highlights Community Health Initiative: 'More Health and Well-being' brings services to the people. Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Republic – Mayor Dio Astacio recently praised the "More Health and Well-being" initiative, a program bringing vital health services directly to the community. The program, a collaboration between the Ministry of Public Health and the local government, is currently operating at the San Vicente de Paul parish polytechnic. "Serving the people means going where the people are," stated Astacio, emphasizing the initiative's accessibility. He expressed his gratitude to President Luis Abinader and Minister Victor Atallah for their support in extending preventative healthcare to the most vulnerable. The program offers free services and will continue until 4:00 p.m. today and also tomorrow. Astacio urged residents to take advantage of the opportunity: "Everything done in time is much more economical and much healthier. Many people perish for not going to a study, a simple study in time." The initiative is a testament to the government's commitment to improving the health and well-being of citizens.
