A group of Hungarian fishermen from the "FISHMINE" channel recently faced police intervention while attempting to fish and camp at Wolfgangsee in Austria. According to the video, local residents reported the group, leading to authorities informing them of strict regulations against wild camping. The video's presenter explained that while fishing is permitted at any time of day or night, and the use of chairs is allowed, setting up a tent or using a fishing bed implies sleeping, which is prohibited without specific permits. "We are now living like animals," the presenter stated, expressing frustration over what he perceived as locals asserting control over public areas. The group was forced to dismantle their camp, including their fishing bed, as it suggested overnight stay. Despite the setback, the fishermen confirmed that the police's actions were lawful and even described the officers as polite. Looking ahead, the FISHMINE team announced their intention to acquire state permits for future trips to ensure unhindered access for fishing and filming in such locations. The incident highlights the challenges outdoor enthusiasts can face with varying local regulations and community expectations.
