MaxaMillion: Polizei mit Socken bestochen? Ermittlungsverfahren
Der österreichische Influencer MaxaMillion hat angeblich ein Ermittlungsverfahren am Hals. Der Vorwurf: Bestechung der Polizei.
Vienna, Austria – A social media content creator, known as MaxaMillion, has announced that he is under investigation by the Federal Ministry of Interior on suspicion of bribery. The alleged offense stems from an incident where MaxaMillion gifted a pair of socks to a police officer. In a recent video, MaxaMillion stated, "Against me, an official investigation is now being conducted for bribery." He explained that he had telephoned his lawyer and was informed that the socks he gave to a police officer, which he intended as a kind gesture, are being considered an act of bribery. "I would have been allowed to offer them, but they [the police] should not have accepted them," he clarified, adding that this makes him liable. MaxaMillion expressed surprise and frustration at the development, particularly noting that "someone from very high up, namely in the Federal Ministry of Interior, apparently watched all my videos to write down what could somehow be illegal." The content creator, who also owns the sock brand Gamechanger Socks, concluded by promising to keep his followers updated on the progress of the investigation, which he described as "absurd" and a reflection of "Welcome to Austria."
