FERRARA, Italy – A tragic incident unfolded at a campsite in Ferrara, Italy, where a 6-year-old German boy drowned in a swimming pool. The child, who was on vacation with his family, reportedly felt unwell after diving into the water and subsequently lost consciousness. Bystanders at the campsite immediately initiated rescue efforts. Emergency medical personnel from 118 were promptly on the scene and also alerted air ambulance services for additional support. The boy was swiftly transported to Sant'Anna di Cona hospital in an attempt to save his life. Despite the rapid response and medical intervention, the child tragically passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.
