Niš Upgrades Heating Network in KfW 5 Project: Modernization and Future Plans Niš, Serbia – The city is making significant strides in upgrading its heating infrastructure. The final phase of the KfW 5 project, a collaboration with the German Development Bank, is underway. This project focuses on replacing outdated sections of the city's heating network, improving energy efficiency and reliability. The project's scope is substantial. Workers are currently replacing 70 meters of 250mm diameter pipes in Dragiše Cvetkovića Street. This is the last stage of the KfW 5 project, which has already seen considerable progress. According to Živojin Tasić, acting director of JKP "Gradska toplana", "This is the final phase of a larger project to modernize our heating network, improving energy efficiency for our citizens." The city is not stopping here. Plans are already in motion for the KfW 6 project, which will involve replacing an additional 4 kilometers of the network. This shows a commitment to long-term improvements in the city's infrastructure. Nebojša Videnović from JKP "Gradska toplana" added, "We are already preparing for the next heating season. This is a significant investment in the comfort and well-being of our community." The KfW 5 project demonstrates a successful partnership between Niš and the German Development Bank.
